Social Activism

Social activism refers to the deliberate actions taken by individuals or groups to promote, impede, or direct social, political, economic, or environmental change. It is often driven by a concern for issues such as human rights, social justice, environmental sustainability, and equity. Social activists work to raise awareness, mobilize communities, and influence public policy through various means, including protests, advocacy, education, and community organizing. The ultimate goal of social activism is to effect positive change in society, challenge injustices, and empower marginalized populations. Activism can take many forms, such as grassroots movements, social media campaigns, and participation in political processes, and can be focused on local, national, or global issues.
